Booster Vaccinations

Please do not call the practice with general queries about the Covid-19 vaccination.

The booster vaccination programme is now aiming to offer appointments to all adults aged 18 and over by 31 December 2021. Local vaccination teams are working to rapidly increase the availability of appointments.

The national booking system has opened for over 30s and will open for 18-29-year-olds on Wednesday, 15 December. Some local vaccination services will also contact patients directly.

The time between your second dose and a booster must be at least three months.

You can book using the national booking service by calling 119 or at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

The national booking service will only show clinics that have appointments available when you visit the site/call 119; but clinics regularly add more dates.

Repeat Prescriptionsorange_pills

Patients on long-term medication should use the repeat slip attached to their previous prescription to re-order. These can either be posted to us with a stamped addressed envelope or dropped into our prescription box on the wall to the left of our entranceway, at Folkestone Road.

Alternatively you can now order online by following the link at the top of this page and completing a simple registration.

Some local chemists will offer a collection service, please check with your local one to see if they provide this service.

If pharmacy of your choice is not in drop down list please advise us.

Please note, in the interests of safety, requests for repeat prescriptions are not taken over the telephone.

Dispensary

At our Shepherdswell surgery we are able to dispense medicines to patients living more than a mile from their nearest chemist. Please check at the dispensary to see if you are eligible to use this service.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
